Antique Porcelain Sailing Ship Vase Seascape German Lichte Art Nouveau Painted Antique Porcelain Sailing Ship Vase Seascape German Lichte Art Nouveau Painted We offer for sale this love rare antique Lichte 8” hand painted and glazed Art Nouveau porcelain large vase in pastel colors. Its decoration depicts a large sailing ship at sea at sunrise or sunset. The painting is detailed, well done and in good condition. It is marked with a makers mark used by the Lichte in 1900. Porcelain Factory in Germany and signed ghk. This is a rare piece. This mark was only used for a brief period of time. It was said it was used for its similarity to the Severes mark. It is beautifully glazed. It’s glaze can't be fully seen or appreciated in photos. It strongly resembles an antique Royal Copenhagen glaze. It measures 8 inches in height. It is in excellent condition, no chips, cracks or crazing. The bottom rim of the vase has minor very wear for sitting on tables and shelves over the past 120 or so years. It was purchased from an estate in Missouri. Photo of bottom was taken estate fresh. Some collectors prefer bottoms / rims that have not been scrubbed clean, as the honest wear and a big of dirt show age. Others like them scrubbed clean.
