Description

The Royal Copenhagen Trout Figurine, 2676 is a Danish figurine of a trout that is 8.5 cm (3.4 in) tall and 20 cm (8 in) long. It has a glossy finish, blue and grey coloration, and the traditional 3 Blue Wave Royal Copenhagen mark* on the bottom, along with the product number 2676. This trout fish figurine is in MINT condition!! *The three blue waves: "When the Dowager Queen Juliane Marie founded the Royal Porcelain Factory in 1775, she insisted that the three waves should be the factory's trademark. The waves symbolise Denmark's three most important bodies of water; the Sound, the Great Belt and the Little Belt. To this day, the waves are painted on the back of each piece of porcelain and comprise Royal Copenhagen's well-known signature of authenticity, 2 mark of fine craftsmanship and Danish porcelain art (from online sources). Based on my research, I estimate it dates from the mid-1900s. It's impeccably detailed and measures 8" long. It's in overall excellent condition, except for a tiny touchup on one of the fins--see last image--priced accordingly. Lovely addition to a Royal Copenhagen collection, coastal decor, or trout fisherman gift.
