Royal Copenhagen BACA Fajance Framed Tile Johanne Gerber This vintage Royal Coppenhagen Baca Fajance square features a beautiful contrasting seaport fishnet with fish against a yellow mustard gold background. Made of ceramic earthenware, it is a limited edition piece with a printed hallmark. The shapes of this baca series was designed by Nils Thorsson, and the fishing village harbor design and painting was by Johanne Gerber. Handmade in Denmark in the late mid 20th century, this original Scandinavian Modern painterly seaside design piece is highly sought after. In excellent vintage condition. Irregularities are inherent in the tin glazing process. Edges are protected by frame. No chips, flakes, cracks, crazing, or repairs.
